Very pleased to be joining the cast of Benjamin Britten's Albert Herring with Halifax Opera Festival. I'm going to be performing the role of Mrs Herring in this wonderful piece.14 July 2017
"Plainest of the lovesick maidens is The Lady Jane, sung tonight by understudy Susan Moore. You would not know this, as she delivers a masterpiece of comic timing and performance in this Contralto role, and receives warm applause for her efforts at the curtain call"
"For this farewell performance, Susan Moore replaced Valerie Reid as the doughty Lady Jane. Her “rugged old bosom” harbours a splendid traditional contralto, and she makes a great job of her solo, accompanying herself not on a cello, but on a double bass whose generous curves echo her own"
"Susan Moore making good use of her ample charms and matching contralto tones in the role of Lady Jane"

I am very excited to be starting the design process on the 2017 W11 Opera CUTLASS CREW based on the real life story of Lady Mary Killigrew. You can register to audition from the beginning of June and I will be sending out information about registering and the audition process in the next couple of weeks. We offer training as part of the rehearsal process in good vocal technique, stage craft and movement. We've had an amazing two weeks rehearsing a new opera by Russell Hepplewhite and Tim Yealland and designed by Jude Munden for English Touring Opera. It's an amazing piece that explores Amelia's life through beautiful music, imaginative storytelling and an exquisite and ever-changing set. We mainly tour schools but you can catch us at:

The first to see our wonderful MD conducting The Tales of Hoffmann for Emglish Touring Opera and the second, a trip to the West End to see Mamma Mia. We were lucky enough to be able to have backstage tours and meet cast members at both shows. The Ambassadors have also reviewed both productions so please follow our REVIEWS link to read them.

It was lovely to return to the The Swallow Theatre with the wonderful Russell Hepplewhite. Russell and I have created a new song recital programme that includes a new cycle written especially for me entitled Something Childish, but very natural which are three songs set to Samual Taylor Coleridge poems.
Russell has also recently had three of his choral pieces published by Banks Music Publications. You can purchase the sheet music online from the link above or hear recordings by following the links below:04 August 2015
